Recently we completed a repair on a Waeco marine refrigerator system that was not cooling properly due to a refrigerant leak.

After connecting gauges and inspecting the system, a high-pressure nitrogen test was performed to locate the leak. The leak was found at the filter drier brazing connection.

The damaged filter drier was removed and replaced with a new one. After the repair, the system was pressure tested again with nitrogen to confirm there were no additional leaks.

Once the system passed the pressure test, a deep vacuum was pulled to remove moisture and non-condensables from the refrigeration system. The unit was then properly recharged and tested under operation.

The refrigerator returned to normal cooling performance after the repair.
